Solar Aircon Engineers SA offers both online product sales with courier delivery and professional installation services with on-site delivery. This policy outlines our shipping and delivery processes for both.

Online Product Shipping

Processing Time:

  • Orders are processed within 1-2 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays)
  • You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after purchase
  • A shipping confirmation with tracking number will be sent once your order is dispatched

Shipping Methods and Timeframes:

  • Standard Shipping: 3-7 business days (major centers), 5-10 business days (remote areas)
  • Express Shipping: 1-3 business days (available for most areas, additional fee applies)
  • Collection: Available from our Johannesburg location by appointment (free)

Shipping Costs:

  • Calculated at checkout based on delivery address, order weight, and shipping method
  • Free standard shipping on orders over R2,500 (within major centers)
  • Bulky items (large AC units, solar panels) may incur additional freight charges

Delivery Areas:

  • We ship throughout South Africa via reputable courier services
  • Remote or rural areas may have extended delivery times
  • PO Box addresses are not accepted for large items
  • International shipping is not currently available

Tracking Your Order:

  • Track your shipment using the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email
  • Contact us if you have not received tracking information within 2 business days

Delivery Requirements:

  • Someone 18+ must be available to sign for delivery
  • Inspect packages upon delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt
  • Report any damage or missing items within 48 hours
  • Courier will attempt delivery 2-3 times before returning to depot

Installation Service Delivery

Equipment Procurement:

  • All air conditioning and solar equipment for installation is ordered specifically for your project
  • Standard equipment typically arrives within 5-10 business days of order confirmation
  • Specialized or high-capacity units may require 2-4 weeks
  • We will notify you of any delays in equipment availability

Installation Scheduling:

  • Installation is scheduled once equipment arrives and site preparation is confirmed
  • We will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient installation date
  • Standard installations are completed within 1 business day
  • Multi-unit or complex solar integration projects may require 2-3 days

Service Areas:

We provide installation and service throughout the greater Johannesburg area and surrounding regions. Contact us to confirm service availability in your specific location. Travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area.

Delivery to Installation Site:

  • Equipment is delivered directly to your property on the scheduled installation date
  • You must ensure clear access for our installation team and equipment
  • Parking and unloading space must be available near the installation site
  • Notify us in advance of any access restrictions (gates, security, narrow passages)

Installation Day Requirements:

  • Someone 18+ must be present during installation
  • Electrical supply must be available at the installation location
  • Pets should be secured away from work areas
  • Clear the installation area of furniture and valuables

Delays and Issues

Shipping Delays:

  • We are not responsible for courier delays beyond our control (weather, strikes, customs)
  • Contact us if your order has not arrived within the estimated timeframe

Installation Rescheduling:

  • We will notify you immediately if installation must be rescheduled due to equipment delays or weather
  • You may reschedule with 48+ hours notice at no charge
  • Rescheduling within 48 hours may incur a fee

Lost or Damaged Shipments

  • Report lost or damaged shipments within 48 hours of expected delivery
  • We will file a claim with the courier and arrange replacement or refund
  • Take photos of damaged packaging and products for insurance claims

Completion and Handover

Upon installation completion, we will:

  • Commission and test the system
  • Provide operation and maintenance instructions
  • Supply warranty documentation
  • Remove all packaging and installation debris
